It was 7am as I stepped out of my unit yesterday morning for school. With a glance, I could clearly see a white ball among the shrub. As I moved closer, I released that it was actually a flower! My “keng huay” had finally bloomed. =) Without a second glance, I headed to the lift and went to school in a hurry, anticipating my return to capture the gorgeous moment. However, when I came home late at night, it had ceased to bloom. =(

“keng huay” in hokkien refers to Epiphyllum oxypetalum, also known as the Night blooming Cereus. The flower usually blooms in late evening and close by sunrise, which explains the closing of the flower when I came home from school.
Beautiful the moment can be when the flower is in full bloom, but short-lived. That’s the main reason for the above photograph with a closed flower.
In life, beautiful moments are short-lived. Once it is gone, it will never come back...

Thriving and Soaring the plant might seem, but one never knows the hardship the plant actually went through. Days and days without a single drop of water, and continuous gusts of chilly air that the roots and stem have to endure.
Life is somewhat the same…never judge a book by its cover. Strong it may seems, but fragile inside. Flawless it may seem, but there lies a scratch.
Many of us are, in fact different from what others might perceive us to be. We have a choice to present the strong or weak nature of ourselves, the genuine or even the façade self. Just when will we reveal our true self? Who’s genuine and who’s not? Certain things have made me realized that I am living in a crafty world. I couldn’t make up what’s real and what’s not. Who’s genuine and who’s not. It is just too daunting to march on…

Wind had taken the other leafs in their direction, away from me.
I kept going without knowing that I am the only one left. Alone.
Where have the others gone? Is it time for me to take my leave as well?
But where? I can’t decide.
For years…I do not know what I really wanted and what I am doing all these for.
I have yet to set my own direction.
How long do I need to take before I came out with the decision?
I guess I don’t know right now…but it is really time to start thinking.
I HAVE to have my own thinking…before the wind takes me away.
I always know I have to…. but yet I always hesitate to do so.
Perhaps, it is time to make my own decision…. but can I?

What can you say about this picture? looks like a person running?
Haha...how I wish I can run in the sky with no boundaries...and travel to anywhere i yearn for. That would be great ya?

Haix...miss CL de blog >.<
It is not worth it to act so rashly in a moment of frenzy…
Instead, we should try and stay calm at all times =)
But what’s done can’t be undone… many things are irreversible..
